Cookie Policy

What this website stores on your device, why, and what you can control.

1. Summary

This website sets no cookies. It uses no analytics platform, no advertising or retargeting technology, no social media embeds and no third-party content delivery for fonts or scripts — fonts and assets are served from our own domain. There is consequently no cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to.

We publish this policy anyway, because the position could change and because visitors are entitled to know what the current position actually is rather than being told a generic one.

2. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. Related technologies — local storage, session storage and tracking pixels — perform similar functions. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, storing or accessing information on your device requires your consent unless it is strictly necessary to provide the service you requested.

3. Categories, and what we use

4. The contact form

The enquiry form does not set a cookie. It carries a signed, non-identifying token in the page markup that lets our server confirm the submission originated from this website. The token contains no information about you, is not stored on your device, and cannot be used to recognise you on a later visit.

5. Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard request information — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, response status, user agent and referrer — as part of delivering and protecting the service. This is server-side logging rather than storage on your device, so it does not fall within the cookie consent rules, but it does involve personal data. It is covered in our Privacy Policy, which also states the retention period.

6. Controlling cookies

Because we set none, there is nothing to reject here. If you wish to control cookies from websites generally, every major browser lets you block or delete them in its privacy settings, and most offer a mode that discards all site storage when the window closes. Blocking cookies broadly may break sites that rely on them; it will not affect this one.

7. If this changes

If we introduce analytics or any other non-essential storage, we will update this page, state the specific technology and its retention period, and request consent before it is set. We will not treat continued browsing as consent.
